
WEEKLY ART INSPIRATIONS: EXHIBITIONS TO VISIT IN LONDON
For this week, we wanted to share with you some inspirational visits to art galleries, museums and event halls in order to discover that London does not only offer amazing food and music but also some really good quality art and exhibitons. It is almost impossible to visit them all and be able to stare all day long to the amazing quality that is art exhibited here in London. All the exhibitons here listed are starting from tomorrow, the 18th of November so you will have quite some time to see them all! Have an amazing week and don't let the beauty around you be left unseen! - Grace Coddington 1) Role-play Photograhper, known for his famous work for Vogue Italy is currently showing a collection of his work so far. This is rather exciting as we all know and probably love the work of Meisel, both editorials and independent pieces. The exhibitons is called Role-play and will be shown in Philips galleries in Paris, London and New York. 16 December – 11 January 2015 Where? PHILLIPS, 30 Berkeley Square, London 2) Constructing Worlds: Photography and Architecture in the Modern Age 18 November 2014 – 11 January 2015 Where? Barbican Centre, Silk Street London A retrospective exhibtion of Horst P Horst's prolific 60-year career. The German-American photographer did shoots for Chanel, Schiaparelli and Vionnet in the ’30s. His most renowned images will be on display alongside unpublished pictures, plus there will be a recreation of Horst's 1940s studio. Archive film footage, sketchbooks and letters will also give an insight into his creative process. 18 November 2014 – 4 January 2015 Where? V&A Museum, Cromwell Road London This exhibition looks at the wardrobes of 25 exceptional women, who've made their names in politics, culture, business and fashion, with each of themcontributing an outfit. The women featured includeDame Vivienne Westwood, Kirsty Wark, Joan Burnstein and Pearl Lam, with highlight outfits including an Yves Saint Laurent 'Le Smoking' suit. The clothes will be supported by photographs, archive film and interviews. Visitors will also be able to explore an immersive visual timeline documenting the last 150 years of feminine fashion trends. 18 November 2014 – 26 April 2015 Where?
